THE MISSION of the B. B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center is to preserve and share the legacy and values of B. B. King, to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Mississippi Delta, and to promote pride, hope, and understanding through exhibitions and educational programs.

THE VISION of the B. B. King Museum and Delta interpretive Center is to serve as an education/cultural center for residents of the Delta and as a destination for visitors. The music of the Mississippi Delta and the rich cultural legacy of the region are explored and celebrated through the Center’s innovative exhibits, and educational and public programming. Much more than a place that tells the story of one man’s journey, the Museum reaches beyond its physical walls to fulfill its mission of honoring the life work of B. B. King; celebrating and preserving the Delta blues; impacting the lives of young people; and promoting a better quality of life for all.
