The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center welcomes Indianola native Jerry Fair for performance and discussion: “Keeping The Blues Alive,” Friday, July 31 at noon.
Delta blues artist Jerry Fair has performed for both large and small audiences across the country including Disney World, Orlando, FL; the House of Blues, Boston, MA; and the 1996 World Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. He plays regularly in the Delta, including dates at Club Ebony and Saturday afternoons in Lucille, the Museum gift shop. He also teaches acoustic guitar lessons for children and adults at the Museum.
Mr. Fair has scored film documentaries and has been featured in the Oxford American’s Journal of Music. His way with people and his depth of musical knowledge make him a natural teacher as well as an engaging performer. Come join Jerry and the Museum for an hour of music and discussion about the Blues.
High Noon Brown Bag Lunchtimes are held at the B.B. King Museum on the last Friday of every month, at 12 noon. Please bring a lunch and join us. No advance reservation required. The Museum is located at 400 Second Street, in Indianola, MS.
