The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center welcomes Brandi Lyle Ward Hyatt to the stage in Lucille’s, the Museum gift shop, on Friday, July 30 at noon. Because of her roots in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, her style is a unique blend of gospel, blues, jazz and country that appeals to all ages and cultures.
Brandi Lyle, often called “The Delta’s New Rising Star” has been performing since the young age of 3. She began composing at the age of 13 and in 2003 she captivated her audience with her very own “Mississippi Countryside”, winning not only their hearts, but the prestigious title as the 2003 Colgate Country Showdown Winner. In 2007, Brandi released her first album entitled Brandi Lyle, recorded and produced at Charles Hall Studio by the masters of Money Road Records.
Brandi graduated First Diploma (4.0 GPA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Delta State University in 2008. While attending DSU, Brandi had the privilege of performing at Carnegie Hall, Washington National Cathedral, and several cathedrals in England. Brandi now has a new song to sing as she will be starting medical school this fall at the new College of Osteopathic Medicine at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS.
High Noon Brown Bag Luncheons are held at the B.B. King Museum on the last Friday of every month, at 12 noon. Bring your lunch. Beverages are available for purchase. No advance reservation required.
