The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center is hosting the 3rd brown bag lunch event on Friday, May 29 at 12 noon with Steve Cheseborough, blues performer, lecturer, and writer. He will return at 6:30 p.m. for a performance and discussion.
Cheseborough, a respected authority on the blues, is the author of the acclaimed guidebook Blues Traveling: the Holy Sites of Delta Blues, and a contributor to “Living Blues”, “Acoustic Guitar” and other magazines and newspapers across the country. He will present a blues discussion and book signing at noon in Lucille’s, the Museum Gift Shop. At six-thirty in the evening, Cheseborough will continue the music discussion, and will perform a blues set. He will also sign his book, which is available in the gift shop. This book is also available as a bonus gift with purchase of a membership to the Museum.
Cheseborough brings to life the acoustic country blues of the 1920s and '30s in the tradition of Robert Johnson and Bo Carter – by re-creating the music and recounting the lives, legends and lore of the fascinating men and women who created the blues, and the land they came from.
